   Fountain Paint Pot; Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River; Norris Geyser

   Basin; moose; bison; elk; black and grizzly bears

Flora Facts: Approximately 80% of forest is comprised of lodgepole pine;

   more than 1,700 species of native vascular plants; 186 species of lichens

Fauna Facts: Threatened species (bald eagle, grizzly bear, lynx);

   endangered species (whooping crane, gray wolf); 311 recorded species

   of birds (148 nesting species)

Fun Facts: The world’s first national park; located on top of an active

   volcano; 2,995,640 visitors in 2003; larger than Rhode Island and

   Delaware combined; approximately 2,000 earthquakes annually;

   approximately 10,000 thermal features; more than 300 geysers; one of the

   world’s largest calderas; one of the world's largest petrified forests;

   Steamboat Geyser is the tallest natural geyser in the world
